I am a vocalist, vocal artist and vocal coach. I love jazz standards, torch songs, Broadway tunes, R & B, singing in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Tagalog, fake J-pop. . . and especially music with bare vocals and piano or guitar. I still teach select students, I still sing live with bands or as a solo artist. Other uses of my voice include narrating audiobooks, recording IVR (interactive voice response) systems, and voiceovers for film and digital film projects.
I don't perform regularly anymore, but I do still love to sing. Every once in awhile, I record some songs for fun, mostly because I like to record how my voice changes and evolves through the years.
2010
This year, I recorded some acoustic covers with my sister's musical partner, JSOS aka Justin Crisostomos of ZSOS. It's just guitar and vocals. And most are done in one or two takes, with little to no rehearsal. So enjoy the "imperfect" nature (it's WABI SABI STYLE MAN!) of capturing a small moment of vocal cords flexing.
