Back from the UK

Shef_graffiti_playgroundAll my molecules have made it safely back over the Atlantic Ocean and I am back in Los Angeles to rock and roll.

A few updates, which I'll be writing about more extensively in upcoming posts:

1. I passed my real estate licensing exam with quantum recall+self-hypnosis+yinyang balancing+time travelling techniques - I barely got a chance to study, but I trusted that somewhere in my mind the information had a home, and I just had to find the key to that room.

2. A few announcements and updates regarding office hours and appointments:

Office Hours
Tuesday - Friday, 10am - 6pm
Saturday, 9 - noon, although I will take 1-2pm appointments if necessary

Off-site Appointments
I am available for off-site appointments to those clients whom I've already met in my office. This means I can travel to you, if necessary, for a nominal surcharge. (Gas prices are crazy these days!) BTW, I usually try to check Los Angeles Gas Prices before I go anywhere!

Phone Sessions
I am available for phone sessions at the standard hourly rate - and these sessions can be scheduled outside of office hours. This means that if you would like a session by phone, we can do this on weekends, or during weeknights, as necessary. Phone sessions must be prepaid in advance, via cheque by mail, or via online credit card payment, through Paypal.

For vocal training, phone sessions can only be available for established students.

3. Small Group Workshops
I'll be hosting a few small group workshops (12 people or less) in the next few months, on the following topics:

_Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity (based on David Allen's book) and Self-Hypnosis

In this 3 part session series, I will explain and help you implement either low-tech or hi-tech platforms to his workflow process system, to integrate your personal, professional, family and creative goals into one seamless, manageable workflow.

I recently attended David Allen's seminar and learned that his coaches charge $300 per hour for professional consultation to help you implement this system.  The seminar I attended was $600 for one day!  One of the things he mentioned is that the people who need this kind of help most are the ones who can't afford it.  I'd like to help people who really need the help - and this 3 session series will only cost $150 for all 3 one-hour sessions.  That's $50 per session, and at the end of the day, when you consider how much more productive you can be, and all the many projects you've been waiting to start to strategize and move forward, and how you can do this all without feeling overwhelmed or overstressed, this is an amazing value.  Each session begins and ends with a short lesson and practice in self-hypnosis, to help reinforce the topics discussed as well as your self-confidence. It feels good to be organized from the inside out!

_The War of Art - Overcoming Creative Self-Sabotage
(based on Steven Pressfield's book)
This is a wonderful book I've recommended to several clients.  In one workshop, we will simply discuss this book and identify and help overcome personal points of Resistance and any old beliefs that limit your ability to express, create and pursue your artistic goals.  If your artistic content has been simmering or festering or just waiting for you to turn the key in the lock, this is the time for you to start committing to creative goals and making the most of the opportunities that are always around you. While I love "The Artist's Way" - the course is both lengthy and expensive.  This workshop is only $50!

I have many new exciting methods and research to share, and if you would prefer to discuss these topics in a private session, we can set that up too!

As always, please let me know how I can help you, or if you have experienced significant changes or progress that you wouldn't mind sharing (can always be anonymous) I'd love to hear from you! In addition, if you know anyone who you think might benefit from my services, please don't hesitate to refer them to me.

Thanks and take care,

Carmen

  • "We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other. To meet, to love, to share. It is a precious moment, but it is transient. It is a little parentheses in eternity. If we share with caring, lightheartedness, and love, we will create abundance and joy for each other, and this moment will have been worthwhile." - Deepak Chopra

Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your objective. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • "Even when change is elective, it will disorient you. You may go through anxiety. You will miss aspects of your former life. It doesn't matter. The trick is to know in advance of making any big change that you're going to be thrown off your feet by it. So you prepare for this inevitable disorientation and steady yourself to get through it. Then you take the challenge, make the change, and achieve your dream." - Harvey Mackay

  • "It takes courage to push yourself to places that you have never been before... to test your limits... to break through barriers. And the day came when the risk [it took] to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to bloom." - Anais Nin

  • "Will is the measure of power. To a great genius there must be a great will. If the thought is not a lamp to the will, does not proceed to an act, the wise are imbecile. He alone is strong and happy who has a will. The rest are herds. He uses; they are used. He is of the Maker; they are of the Made. Will is always miraculous, being the presence of God to men. When it appears in a man he is a hero, and all metaphysics are at fault." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • "When I had youth I had no money; now I have the money I have no time; and when I get the time, if I ever do, I shall have no health to enjoy life. I suppose it’s the discipline I need; but it’s rather hard to love the things I do, and see them go by because duty chains me to my galley. If I ever come into port with all sails set, that will be my reward perhaps." - Louisa May Alcott

  • "Our life's journey of self-discovery is not a straight-line rise from one level of consciousness to another. Instead, it is a series of steep climbs and flat plateaus, then further climbs. Even though we all approach the journey from different directions, certain of the journey's characteristics are common to all of us." - Stuart Wilde

  • "I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." - Frank Herbert
